UK Armed forces applicants disc missing
Again, the government has failed on the most basic of security relating to portable discs.

That shouldn't be a portable drive. That should be in a room somewhere locked away and only be able to be accessed via secure VPN or something like that. The company I work for sent a disk to the State department for tax reporting purposes and it got lost. I want to know why they are still using CDs to transfer all that data.

I think people are more concerned with transporting important data on a physical item, so they know exactly where it is, or at least should. They're wary of sending data through a network or any kind of digital transmission for fear of a black hat somewhere on the outside monitoring the connection waiting to hijack it. They'd rather take the hardware approach, but even then you really ought to keep that sort of thing handcuffed to your friggen wrist.

If quizzes are quizzical..............what does that make a test?
